Synthesis of tin and iron complexes and coordination chemistry study thereof

  • Description of the research topic

Preparation and structure investigation of potentially bioactive tin and iron complexes with NMR, IR, and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Comparative study of their hydrolytic/alcoholytic reactivity, with special emphasis on their biological applicability. Synthesis and supramolecular organization of organotin(IV) lactams and related compounds.
good synthetic skill in inorganic, organic, and organometallic chemistry labs; wide interest in preparative techniques, structure investigation/separation methods; firm knowledge in (applied) physical/theoretical chemistry; susceptibility for interdisciplinary view
