New polymerization processes and novel macromolecular structures thereby

  • Description of the research topic

Investigating unrevealed copolymerization of low molecular weight monomers and macromonomers, and with the application of the latest developments in polymerization research, various novel macromolecular materials, unique polymer gels and hybrids thereof can be obtained. Among these, polymers with sulfur containing backbone belong to one of the most intensively investigated polymer groups recently. This research will deal with the synthesis of such polymers and complex macromolecular assemblies therefrom, such as polymer conetworks, that is, entirely new polymer structures, never existed before.
