Description of the research topic
During this project the candidate will characterise the early developmental processes of paradise fish (Macropodus opercularis) and compare them to the embryogenesis of zebrafish (Danio rerio). This work will combine bioinformatic observations (e.g. de novo transcriptome analysis) with molecular genetics (cloning, genome editing, transgenesis) and classical histology methods (histological stainings, in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry).
