The development of new experimental methods for the investigation of anodic water splitting on high efficiency electrocatalyst materials
-
Description of the research topic
The aim of research is the development of new, iridium and mixed nickel-cobalt-oxide based anode materials for efficient water splitting. The work involves method development and the design of instruments for the application of high-end characterization methods (online gas chromatography coupled to a flow-type electrochemical cell, application of operando Raman spectroscopy in an electrochemical environment). The expected output is a new procedure for benchmarking O2-evolving electrocatalyst materials.
