The ‘Cristofor Simionescu’ Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection within the ‘Gheorghe Asachi’ Technical University of Iasi has as a main goal the training of specialists in the field of chemical and environmental engineering, through bachelor’s degree education programs (4 years), master’s degree education programs (2 years) and Ph.D. degree education programs (3 years). The faculty is also involved in research projects in the field of chemical and biochemical engineering, environmental engineering and related fields, and provides further training programs to specialists.
The value of the faculty’s teaching staff brings a distinctive note to the teaching of chemical engineering. In addition to training and research in various fields, national and international multi-disciplinary cooperation programs are also a strength.
For the immediate future, the ‘Cristofor Simionescu’ Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection aims to modernize its curriculum in order to provide future engineers with the skills and competences required by the European labor market, in accordance with the principles set out in the Bologna Convention, and also to stimulate and extend research cooperation with different types of academic and research institutions and organizations.
