PhD applicant profile must have:
A strong background in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning methods (e.g. Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Evolutionary Computing, and other supervised and unsupervised learning methods).
An MSc or bachelor’s in computer science/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science with a demonstrable record of innovative projects (industrial projects, publications and/or open-source development); Or a bachelors in a STEM discipline but over 5 years of industrial experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Experience in programming in Python and exposure to scientific libraries such as Pandas, Numpy etc (Other suitable scientific programming languages would be acceptable – R/Julia/C/C++ etc)
A team player with a demonstrable attitude to enjoy scientific challenges.
