The doctoral program in Functional Biology and Biotechnology of the University of Alcalá, establishes a broad framework for the realization of doctoral theses for the expansion of knowledge in the functional aspects of living beings at all levels of biological organization: microorganisms, fungi, plants and animals and analytical approach: molecular, cellular, individual, population and taxonomic, as well as biotechnological applications derived from these studies especially in the fields of health, genetic improvement and human nutrition. The Program is coherent with the research lines of the participating teams.
